Before Coming to Colombia

How to Select Tigo / OLA Network

Make sure that:

  • You have activated the Roaming service with your network operator.
  • Ensure with your operator that your phone supports the GSM 1900 band
  • No call restrictions are activated
  • You bring an American standard current charger.

  • Once you turn on your phone, it will automatically search for the GSM signal.
  • If Tigo / OLA has a Roaming Agreement with your company, the handset will search Tigo / OLA Network.
  • When you are connected to Tigo / OLA, the information displayed on your handset will be:
  • OLA
  • Tigo
  • 732 103








Now, you are ready to enjoy benefits from the best service while your stay in Colombia. If your phone does not connect automatically to Tigo / OLA, you can select the network.

It just takes a few steps to select your choice:

  • Go to the main menu and select "phone settings" or "setup",
  • Select "network selection", or "choose network"
  • Select manual
  • Finally select COLMOVIL, Tigo or OLA.

How to Make Calls

Performing calls in Tigo / OLA network is very simple:

To perform local calls while in Colombia dial:

  • Mobile Originated Calls to Fixed Numbers
    03 -> National City Code -> Telephone Number
  • Mobile Originated Calls to Mobile Numbers
    Just dial the Mobile Telephone Number
  • International Calls
    "+" -> Country Code -> Area Code -> Telephone Number.

    The "+" is the standard access code for international calls adopted world-wide.

Tigo / OLA network offers you free of charge Infoline. Calling *300 after selecting Tigo / OLA network is adequate for using this service. An English speaking assistant will answer your questions regarding:

  • Ways to dial locally (local prefix, city codes)
  • Money exchange
  • Famous tourist destinations
  • Restaurants
  • Transportation
  • Consulates
  • Museums


Roaming with Tigo / OLA, offers you the freedom to access services provided from a list of 131 operators worldwide.

Tigo / OLA network operates on GSM 1900 Mhz. Customers from Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania will require a tri-band GSM handset.

Tariffs and Charles

The calls and their respective amounts are sent to your Home Operator, who accordingly with your price plan shall notify you on the charges. Please contact your customer service for details.
